How to lose weight

Do you need to shed off a few pounds to fit into that gorgeous dress you saw at the mall the other day? Do you find yourself gasping for breath after just a few minutes of walking briskly? Do you feel pain in your ankles and knees after doing some physical activities? If you do, then it might be time for you to lose weight!

The very first thing you need to do is to accept that you have to change your lifestyle. Weight loss will only happen if you are ready and committed to make better choices.

Keep track of your calorie intake. The formula to lose weight is simple: calorie intake < calorie output.

Move. Increase the number of steps that you make everyday. Take the stairs, walk your dog, or hike with friends on weekends. These activities can help burn more calories.

Eat healthy. This does not necessarily mean that you have to stick with fruits and veggies right on the bat, and completely scrap out meat, sweets, and junk food. Start by incorporating healthy food to your meals and minimizing intake of take-outs, sodas, and others.

You should not just jump on fad diets or quick-weight-loss programs. Understand that losing weight is a long, tedious process.
