Brandenburg Gate

A person who dreams of going on a trip to this wonderful European city should never miss dropping by the Brandenburg Gate. This landmark is found in the western part of the metro and plays a significant role in Germany's history. Several years ago, Berlin was considered a walled city. It was enclosed by gates including the Brandenburg gate. This particular one is made up of six Doric column gates on one side, and another six on the other side, forming five passageways all in all. There is a four-horse chariot driven by the goddess of victory Victoria found on top of the gate.

Today, this Berlin landmark has become one of the most popular attractions in the country, drawing in millions and millions of foreign visitors each year.

Schloss Charlottenburg

Another must-see landmark in Berlin is the Schloss Charlottenburg, also known as the Charlottenburg Palace, which is the largest palace in the city. It was built in the 1800s and employs beautiful architectural styles like rococo and baroque.

Even though it experienced a lot of damage during World War II, several reconstructions and renovations helped it recover to what it is now.

Visitors can look around the interior of the palace where countless decorations and artifacts of unparalleled beauty are displayed. There is also a garden where tourists can get a glimpse of colorful and pretty plants and flowers.

Fernsehturm

It is also an excellent idea to go to the Fernsehturm, or the "Television Tower," when you are in Berlin. It is about 1200 feet tall and has a platform for tourists where they can get a good view of the whole city. There is also a rotating restaurant where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal with your friends and family.
